Kit includes the battery holder and the cable connecting circuit board. Soldering is required to connect lamp cable to the circuit board in cable gland end of battery box.

* ABS battery boxes should stand up to plenty of rough caving. But note, this is not a free battery box for life deal ! It's caving gear. If you wear it out, or are particularly brutal and manage to bust it, then you'll have to replace it, just like you would replace a caving oversuit. Fixed stainless torx screws and cable gland thread are bonded into the battery box. Remove these at your own risk. Soldering typically required to connect lamp cable in to battery box. 2off helmet fixings require drill 3.5mm typ. and allen / hex key 2mm.
UNPROTECTED BATTERIES .......
Take care to ensure correct battery polarity if using unprotected li-ion batteries. If you fit one battery in reverse (back to front), then the two batteries will effectively be short circuited together!! Things will get messy / exciting pretty quickly ..... more so if the batteries are fully charged. If you do this then you are an idoit, and that's not our fault. It's not difficult. The positve end of the holder is marked, and the negative end has big, very obvious spring contacts. It is good practice to use batteries as a matching pair, and charged to same level. We would recommend an additional layer of battery pack heat shrink wrap as good practice if using unprotected cells.
